Thanks. Glad it arrived in good condition, I was worried as hell seeing how others arrived to customers. eFX REALLY needs to take care of these things including customer relations.

G'day Be-there-man!
i recieve the same as yourself
Much better looking brush strokes... but how did the nose bridge dint disappear?
very greatfull for efx's customer service (even though it took 9 months!) as they went outide the bounds of normal customer service for my case in particular, so with the past as water under the bridge... I consider myself lucky &m greatful! (but i do fully understand yours & the rest of the other peoples position)

My dome now sits a few millimeters higher, which is enough to take away from the "frown" ANH look & give it more of the ESB eyes. Ive examined the positioning of the ring on the masks, old & new, & they are identical. How colud this be? is it the magnet? i dont think so as ican push it deeper to over power any magnet.

Im going to correct it- but how should i do it?
Sith lord, from reading some of your posts you corrected the magnet (is that correct?) Can you, or others in the know, give some advice here?
should i trim down the mounting ring or move the magnet in the dome upwards?

I had to do this with my DP deluxe to remove the forehead buldge.... here we go again!!

can you post some pics of the helmet with its adjusted dome positioning? some from 1/4 angles too.. maybe with the same angle as shown in these babies?
thanks for your reply!!
[quote="illbethere1"]The only thing to mess with is the dome ring. Take a dremel with a good sized thin cut off wheel and cut from the inside of the ring keeping it flush to prevent unwanted damage. Only took me a couple min. Easy as hell. To reattach it, place the separated ring on the face ring, and add some fast setting epoxy that gives you a min. or so to set so you can have enough time to position properly.

Actually... for ANH there isn't only one way to position the dome. There is an approximation as the dome position depending on how the tabs connected in that particular fitting. The dome is all over the place in that movie. And it is crooked off to the side in the Tantive scenes.

I do concur. ,one the money again Carsten! Thanks.
Btw...
What did the tabs attach to in the top of the dome?

I think the ring might be in the right spot as the angle of the dome forehead looks right as it is on the efx. Also, the way the curve of the dome sides mirror + match the curve of the eyebrows looks right IMO. With this new facemask, the dome is sitting 5mm higher than the last on my efx. Enough to change the facial expression from semi-pissed to wide eyed. I think the rings might have too much paint on them + they are catching too high. All the dims of the positioning of the dome ring are the same from old mask to new. I might knock some height off the inner ring. Same as with my dp deluxe, but in that case I should have move the dome ring as mrT suggested.
I'm very fussy when it comes to dome placement!!!
Read into that as you like !

thanks big-mann Tee for your comments. Look forward to seeing the resultant dome forehead slopeage angle as a result of your renovations!
Cheers
Mike

There was a wood block with opposite tabs inside the dome that the ones on the face mask connected to.
