When I say causal collector I’m just trying to refer to those who don’t need every scratch, wart, paint drip, etc. in the props they collect. I wasn’t trying to demean anyone with my comments so if I did I apologize. :pale I was just trying to point out that I think there is enough passion in this hobby from everyone that it will continue to flourish.

This by far has to be one of the best licensed helmets I’ve seen in a long while. Though I’m going to hold off on making any judgment until I see the final version that ends up in the public’s hand. Hopefully they will fix the mistakes in the paint job. Seems odd they would goof that with all the effort they have been putting into this.

Yes, lol... Gino the god of Vadersculpting has spoken.

And Gino saw that it was good. And Gino blessed them and said:
Be horny for this Vader helmet and buy it and fill the purse of Efx :ac6
And there was evening, and there was morning.
As it shall be written so it shall be done. :cheers

Very funny Turrican :thumbsup

It's wrong. I go through it in some detail in the RPF thread.

Thanks for this nice pic's.
I realy love the detail they put on it,till more i look.

If i remember right there was a big discussion in past about the right lens colour.
So is red the right colour as it was on the screen used?
Had in mind it was yellow tint not red.
Any idea why they not painted that one tusk black?
Or are there also more versions with 2 silver, and 1 black and 1 silver tusk?

May stupid question's but i'm more in RotS Vader as OT.

Also it would be interesting to know what Gino get for this , well...i call it help, he have done for EFX.
I not think he have done it for free.

I reckon I am just the casual collector I reckon....After a glimpse at the EFX, I'd say 99% are gonna be MORE than satified on whats gonne be in thier hands and couldn't give a rats ass about details if the accurate structures there. Its a DJ/SL bretheren... Whats more to say? I can name the other 10/15 rpf veterans as the the remaining 1% :lol I hope the vader battles do continue. Seemed the more heated the argument was, the more new stuff came out into the light giving alittle better insight. .... Loved it ! Entertaining and educational at the same time

Not so funny for those who actually have to do the battling.

Also... the quest isn't over. The Rick Baker mold isn't the top dog. That would be the UK mold. Still a hunt on for a perfect cast from that mold.

Sadly, it is. It's missing a touch.

Rush job, as they apparently didn't have tusks on hand.

The Top Dog ANH face is STILL the TM, nothing else we've seen comes anywhere close.

No. Just GINO who doesn't know about paint and clearly doesn't have the reference he boasts.

A shame he's putting his inaccurate stamp on a licensed piece. We are getting a Don Post fiasco all over again.

Thought so. After so many years of research and many definitive painting scheme guides, to suddenly see this helmet with a Bizzaro paint job just kind of threw me.

I like the general look of the helmet. The widows peak is not good. Not liking the finish on the sprayed version....
