That is just so awesome.... if it went up on eBay, I think people would have a hard time identifying it!

I've been looking at these again. I've got to say, those profile shots are amazing, they really jump out as "Vader" to me.

Sooo.... Any plans to offer any casts up? Any ANH version in the works? If so, put me at the top of the list. Again, amazing work. :thumbsup

Thanks you guys. The polishing is really easy. You need some wet sand paper (1000 and 2000), a drill, a foam pad buffing wheel, and 3M foam pad polish for dark cars. (I swear, that's what its called :lol )

First you wet sand with the 1000 until the "orange peel" is gone then use the 2000 to take the scratching from the 1000 paper out. Next you put a small dab of the polish on the helmet and start buffing very slowly. You have to practice this or you could burn through the paint. Once you spread it around a bit (no more than a 3 inch area) speed it up some to bring the shine out.

You may have run the buffer across it 2 or 3 times to get that really deep shine but practice is key.

Hope that helps some and thanks again for all the kind word. I think this is the first night I haven't been outside working on this thing in months. :lol :lol :lol

Thank you all for your praises. There is a con here this weekend and some of the LA squad came over and got to admire it in person. I tell you, some of the folks were making me blush with all the constant praises.

After seeing it from 20+feet away this weekend, I noticed it needed some small tweeking in the eyes. I straightened the bottom of the eye sockets just a bit and repainted it. I now love the way the eyes look. Enjoy.
