Exactly Carsten, a confusion of terms. :rolleyes It will be a matte coat.

Rustoleum and Testors actually manufacture a "Dull Coat" which will make you rpaint look a bit more flat.

I always use high quality automotive paint on all my projects. Thanks for the tip though.

Oh HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!! The gunmetal highlights are complete!!!

I used Duplicolor gunmetal spray paint, sprayed it into the cap and used a 1" brush to do the gunmetal areas of the mask. I'm quite pleased with the results, I think I captured the look of the original. Again, my camera is horrible so I apologize for the pics. Here's a sample pic, visit my website for more:

Yeah, cameras can play tricks on you sometimes.

Nevertheless that's a great paintjob! Image

Turned out very nice. I like the brushed-on look and the sheen of the gunmetal. :thumbsup

Looks good Chris only advice would be to take the gunmetal to the near corner of the cheek so that the edge stands out more and is more defined. Giving that sharpness, Make sense?

Paul, the gunmetal is right to the edge. My camera sucks and you can't see it that well but trust me it is there. :)
