WTF, did any poor bugger fall for that, I certainly hope not, that's a low act.

I can't believe that someone in the community could be so low as to try to sell a copy of this dvd for $400 (which is not theirs to sell) when so many are generous in sharing information, photos etc for the pleasure of doing so. :angry4

Not a good picture, but man that right one is wonky. I found a finial that looks like the top part of it, but it had too much going on at the bottom. :(

Clutch, I don't think that is a warp as much as it is a trick of the light. There are missing spots of paint on the tusk. I've always been of the mind that they kept it symetrical like with the cheeks; One black, one grey, one silver tusk, one black.

Sorry Hal, I have to go with Occam on this. There are other machined pieces on the Vader costume, so it would be simpler to slap some more blank aluminum in the lathe and have at it than it would be to rummage around for a part to fit on the ends of Brian's sculpt.

There are black spots of paint on the tusk....it is a trick of the light to some extent but it seems to me the black tusk seems shorter and thus might be different from the silver one. I'll have to find an example of that somewhere...

I agree, the tip of the black tusk looks bent or broken perhaps.

The black tusk isn't damaged actually, but it does seem like it's different in terms of the stalk length. In the bottom set of images I scaled the black tusk to the silver one because of the distance difference although at the distance the photo is taken, that difference is not too great. Paint blotch effects aside, and I could be wrong, but I think they are slightly different in shape. Note also the knurling of the base, especially visible on the black tusk (green lines indicate presumptive positions of knurls).
