Brian, this is just trivia, but can you remember what pieces you worked on in chronological order for 'The Star Wars'?

I'm not just talking about pieces of the Trooper armour, I mean
did Vader come first, last, in the middle, etc...

Just would be interested.

Thanks a barrel load.

:cheers

Man, this is some amazing info. Can't still believe how cool this is.

Brak's Buddy posted this on The Dented Helmet and he was gracious enough to let me repost it here:

Any ideas why they split up the helmet and armor sculpting duties?

I don't have the pic to hand but i remember a little while ago a picture of a guy in what he said was an original suit popped up on the net, im sure someone here has the pic on there HDD.
Anyway the suit had several differences to any others we had seen before so i'm wondering is there a possibility this could have been one of the suits pulled by Elstree ?

Probably because Liz Moore left the production, but finished the pieces she was currently working on!? Just a thought.

I tried emailing the guy in the pic, but have not heard back from him.

Yeah that's the one i meant Paul i knew someone would have it :lol

I just remembered that he said he was one of the actors/extras or something and it was taken at the time of production.
I know tonnes of people emailed him asking about it but i don't recall anyone ever getting a reply just him posting a message on his blog or whatever saying he was getting annoyed at all the emails.

Check it out http://www.horstedkeynes.com/extras.html

I can't remember where I got the picture above. It's a larger version of the one in the link. He (Robert) reckons the armour was made from fibreglass and that he was in the parade lined up in front of the Falcon on the Death Star.

Have a read and see what you make of it.

Is it me, or does his helmet have the larger, Liz Moore-style vocoder?

Would be interesting to know for sure if a number of background suits and helmets were cast in fibreglass and used on screen. I suppose a major issue would be that Jason Joiner made a number of fibreglass suits supposedly cast from an original, so identifying them might be tricky.

Anyone have any more information? Jez or Brian?

I have never heard of a genuine fibreglass helmet in my original helmet research.

It would then make fibreglass, bumpy and smooth cap helmets all accurate :lol
