Hope all are doing well. Just saw this on youtube and thought I'd have to share here. I've often wanted to start a topic on 3D printers and printing and this gives me the perfect opportunity.

This new resin printer is almost as big as my Creality CR-10 fdm printer. Totally insane. The price is up there, but for what you get, it's pretty damn cheap.

That’s really awesome. I just dipped into 3D printing this past Christmas with an Ender 3 Pro. It looked to be a safe option for learning. Now I know I need something that can print full helmets ha ha.

I would love to have a resin one that big. Absolutely awesome.

Yeah, big is fun, but takes a lot of hours and the printers can be noisy, so you really need to consider whether running it through the nighttime is possible before doing full size one-piece helmet prints, etc.

When printing in sections it is a good idea to trim the corners of the edges, so they won't leave a raised edge when glued together that will be hard to remove.

I shouldn’t have printed with a brim. I was worried about the height of the parts and introducing a wobble. I trimmed a bunch off them then said to hell with it I’ll sand it at a slow speed and hope for the best.

We shall see.

Wow the resin printer is massive, I just started looking into the resin ones my self once all this cv19 stuff started up, Been slowly getting back into models and have a nice star wars venator to put together and man some of the upgrades you can print me it look amazing.

But looks like ill need to wait a bit as everything is sold out.

That printer is ridiculously huge and cool as can be.

I will live vicariously through you, ha ha. I wish the resin side of 3D printing was cheaper. I would really like to switch and probably will eventually just because of the time saved. I’m sure as time goes on the prices will drop. I would hope so, anyway.

I’m mainly just printing out costume stuff. Although I think I may look into the Zipguy action figure. Pretty neat with the upgrades he has with it.
