I've seen some pic's in the closed area of the LSD / Last Stormtrooper Detachment , there was also to see exact this handplate.
But i can't post pic's up here cause of the following reason.

I think you'll find that this is the exact suit Simon owns. Even the neck trim is missing in the photo and I have not seen one photo of Simons helmet with any neck trim fitted.

Also have you see that those shoulder straps are missing?
The shoulder straps on Simons suit have add. later on it with rivets as it seems.
So they are not screen used.

The flat shoulder straps may already be fitted. It's hard to to tell really. they are just flat strips of plastic and not ribbed like they should be.

I have a strange feeling that the kid with the dark hair is Simon. Kind of looks like him

It was posted on one of the forums ages ago, the RPF I think.

It would be nice to know more about it actually. It just seems odd that all the kids are hanging around like that. Like someone has just appeared in the streets wearing this suit and the kids are like "WOW!"

It's from a union magazine I get through my job. I still have it, and there may possibly be a way to root out who the photographer was, I'll have a look.

It would be nice to find out the story with this photo. There is no doubt that it is the same suit, so who is wearing it and what was the occasion?

That is the full photo already, sorry what I mean is it's cropped from a scan of the magazine page. The white 'border' around the edge of the image is the page itself.

Cause of this pic, which is also from the propblog, i think we can say that this suit was defitive used in AnH.


So what we know now?

-Suit is a : AnH Sandtrooper ( missing button plate on chest)
-Suit made by: Shepperton?? Elstree??
-Suit used in AnH and after for promoshots for AnH.
( If i rememer right Paul posted a pic in the FISD where this was to see, but can't find the thread)
-After own or get as gift by Mr. X
-Mr. X wear it on a small event
-Mr. X sell it to Simon
-Simon show this suit to some guys which big knowledge to let confirm if it's a real suit.

So..the game is on !! Thats 100% Simons suit.

Does Mr 14 stripes appear on screen ?

(if not, is that why Simon has not been forthcoming with the pre-stripdown photos I wonder ? )

We need more info about that photo. What trade/union mag was it from ? Any indication to area ?

That photo you have shown only proves the belt was screen used. It's the same belt worn by the hero trooper here too-


Now that we know what the helmet looked like before the paint was removed it should make finding it a bit easier. I won't say easy as it could prove quite difficult to find it.

Wow, cool Paul you realy have good eyes.

So the belt find use on different suits. Always thought they had numbers at each parts, that each suit has his own fix parts.
But ok , at so much singleparts of props they had, i think after some time no one realy matters wich belt ,shinguard or deto was on wich suit.
Make sense.

Awsome Paul. Dont forget these details are pretty clear too:

Dent in the side of the ear.
The sloppy way in which that tooth is cut out.
The flash at the top of the eye socket.

Oh and for some reason my program made the image more blurry so to see the details go back to the first image.

Why oh why he sanded the helmet down.

Am I correct in saying that there is no way of proving whether the armour was painted for the film or after.
