One thing about this. You need to do something about how the adams apple connects with the lower part of the neck. As you have it now it connects with the sternocleidomastoideus muscle (yes, had to look that up) on one side whereas that muscle should extend on either side of the adams apple, if you know what I mean.

I hear ya MHM. I was scratching my head wondering how Harrison contorted his neck when he made the casting. I think its just the way his shirt is sitting on his chest. Actually if you follow the centerline of his face it does line up properly. That is how it looks on the original as you can see below. Definitely let me know is there are anything else I have missed. Starring at this thing and scrutinizing it after a while, tends to obscure certain details. I'm still finding little things here and there. Remember I am doing this solely from photos I found on the net. I wish I could refence a real IC HIC but no one has one around here. I guess you could say this is an artists rendition :toothy I will post some high rez photo's when I am close.

Seeing yours next to the original it is clear to see what should be done. Though the head should have been moved slightly towards the left, you don't have to and can still save it by making the upper part of the muscle where it turns leftwards and into the adams apple bend towards the right instead and appear to disappear into the carbonite to the right of the bulge, if you follow me.

I'll post a picture later showing what I'm talking about.

Some slight mods to the neck area. Thanks for pointing that out to me NHM, and a shot of the finished carbonite and raised toes. I just need to cast the other hand and... done!

I guess I can finally say I am done with the body portion of the carbonite project. I will start on the mother mold next and finally have a usable sculpt. I have already started custom making the panel parts and greeblees. Here are the finished pic's. :)

Starting the panel parts for the controls next to the hero panel. I have some finer mesh samples coming and hope to have something closer.

I am trying to fabricate an accurate LED display. This is the master for the mold and will be made in stages.
Image

The LED segments will be made separately out of clear plastic and lit up by minature LED from behind. I will pour a blue resin to lock all the segments in place to try and mimic the original coloring. A P.I.C. will be programed with the flashing sequence.

More shots of all the little pieces assembled for the " second hero panel" As you can see the mesh screen needs to be alot finer.

I am working on just the LED display right now, then I wil mount it on a circuit board with all the resistors and chips. I am tring to get the display itself right the rest is simple circuit parts.
