Every "found part" used in Star Wars will be found sooner or later, no
matter how hard some people who ´"already know" are trying to hold back
the informations ... :rolleyes ... so we'll keep searching - it's fun and part
of the hobby - :)

I'm going browsing at the local hardware store during the week... will take a picture of this thing with me and hope they recognize the part. Though... if possible... I would like additional measurements for the piece to be able to find the exact one.

I got the 4" measurement... that was the inside measurement of the dome mount piece hole on the face, right? I need the measurement for the height of the center piece and the width of the collar at the bottom. Hope you can help guys... :cheers

I'm sorry for getting upset with Gino guys, I apologise to all. including Gino.
Why should the Vader costume be such a mystery though. Why hide such a trivial part of the costume from the true Vader fans ... us!

Alan.

It looks like a garden bulb swivel fixture to me.

As for the other....probably best not to comment than say "I know but I'm not telling" .......generally speaking.

(edited to add pic)

You got one on your Fencing Kit... could you please take a few measurements off that for me, please? I take it, it's the correct size?

Oops, I was editing while you were typing.....

I dont have one on my fencing helmet but the one I do have is the correct size.

I want to get one of these fixtures for myself but since the baby I dont have any spare cash. They are stamped out of aluminum.

I'll PM you the measurements.

Found this. It's just the top part of a larger construction of three steps... but silly me of course forgot to take a picture of the crappy thing before I put a saw to it and mauled the leftover pieces I didn't need.

Is not the exact one... seems to be a bit too thin. Still need a bit of sanding down at the collar.

I think you said what many have been wanting to say but could not do so publicly.

One thing we must not forget is that we were all taught; we have all had teachers. No one save for those who work at LucasFilm should see themselves as originators of information.

We are all custodians of this information, not owners. Else we might as well be holders of the Holy Rings and the Sacred Chalice of Betazed.

NHM,

Sure, it's a bit thin, but if it's functional and strong, then more power to you. At any rate, it's neat work!

looking very nice....the base edges don't have that little step on the original, or? Someone should make a modded one of these then mold it and cast it in a resiliant resin material :).

SithLord,

I'm with you on that.

BTW, it just occurred to me how anal we are about so many details of Vader that, when the dome is worn, most people will not or never see! :toothy
