Here is a theoretical mod. It may involve heat to reduce the flare of the bottom opening, if that's necessary at all. What I've done here is basically reduce the height of the dome cap and the flare of the tubes. Pushing the tubes closer together will affect the mouth slightly. The simulation's results seem to more or less work for my eye.
