In a matter of days I'll receive (or have to pick up, if there is import duty and tax on it) a new piece for my collection. Something I really didn't think I'd get to own - man... I'm feeling that a lot lately - so I'm really looking forward to seeing it with my own eyes, handling it and figure out how to paint it. That's gonna be fun. :thumbsup

Sounds mysterious! Are we going to get to see your new acquisition once it arrives?

Just a wee update. Got a letter from the post office this morning, then checked their site - they had updated the status (but neglected to wait until they actually got the package in-house). FUCK... took my bike to the post office... froze my balls to icicles... all for a lousy: "Sorry, it isn't in yet, come back tomorrow."

C**P S**T F**K! :grumpy :angry4 :violent

Damn that was cold...

Thanks. Yeah... those non-flash pictures are the best, imo. I just can't keep my hands steady enough to get them sharp - usually end up really blurry, so I had to build up a temp stand out of large shipping boxes and as you can see worked pretty well! :thumbsup

Finally got the shipment. YAY... barely had a look at it after unpacking it before having to go in the opposite direction of the post office to the city to buy presents. With all that sorted and feeling really tired all over I took this picture for all you guys.

Yup, the very same.

Quite a different feeling with a fiberglass trooper helmet compared to the vac-formed versions and a bit heavier too. Previous owner had done pretty much all the grunt work, so there's only minor for me to do. Looks like it might have been painted, then stripped... or, since I'm not familiar with the intricate details - could be part of the sculpt!?

Definitely nice looking, but it may take a while before I get time to paint it.
