They've made a complete ass of the Fett ROTJ EE-3 Blaster so I can't see them doing a good job on the production version of this helmet to be honest.

Anyone for an expensive cartoon blaster?

The base gun looks pretty nice IMHO. It's just the weathering that really sucks. Makes it look like some cheap HASBRO toy.

Proof once again MR should stay clear from all 1:1 OT props. They're just to difficult to (mass) produce.

Yeah, the actual gun is very accurate which is the only reason I'm not cancelling my order!

When mine arrives it's getting a complete re-paint!

Sorry, but i would never pay nearly 700 USD for a blaster which has a bad weathering as this. There are a few good propmaker where you can get a really detailed blaster with a fantastic weathering for a few hundered dollars less.

I'm with you there the MR is a collectable and the minute you rework it it's gone down in value.
Great gun yes but the price is too high for something you still need to work on.
I don't hold with all this MR can't produce decent finished replicas because of mass production nonsense either.
We aren't talking about a million units here and lets be honest assembly of these kind of items is no big deal they are engineered to slap together easily the base paint can be done in no time,if you had a team of say 5 good artists doing the finishing how many of these blasters do you think can be finished in a day ?
It's not like these blasters have been churned out in a hurry is it.

Don't know what they were thinking with the paintjob on that blaster. :conf

Here are some pics of the final production version of the Boba helmet. Big improvement!

A few things...

The visor looks a little squashed, I don't like those wierd tiny orange spots, and the two lights in the back should not be there on the ESB.

But overall, I think they did an excellent job! Huge improvement over their last showing. The price is now looking to be around $400-$500.
I'll probably be preordering it (plus I get the 10% CS discount :lol ).

I think they could redeem themselves with this helmet and the upcoming x-wing.

Interessting helmet, but i dont know if it isn't better to take one of Bobamakers helmets or the new Fettpride. I'm interessted in because i need an accurate helmet for my ROTJ SE Boba Display.

Noib,

Could you Pm me details on the BM and FP lids?

I am interested in getting a Fett helmet but I am not too keen on spending the time and efforts to paint it up myself. The MR from these pics looks pretty good. I am thinking this is what I may end up getting esp. if that price hangs around the $400 mark.

MR seems like it is going to have a very busy year end this year with the Stormy, Fett, exclusives, X-wing, Dooku FX, and I think it was qui gon or obi tpm FX sabers coming out. Seems like every turn I hear something new that MR is promising before the license expires. Should be interesting to see what they can deliver.

Boba makers work is impressive... Tho i have heard rummors of his new'est helmet being a recast of a Marrosun helmet? i don't know for sure myself.

But never the less boba maker fettpride and marrowsun do amazing work.

If the MR helmet is 400 that isnt a bad price at all! IMO
But if you go boba maker let's say you could get a finished ESB helmet for maybe 200 250 bucks more not counting shipping. I was thinking about working on an esb boba.... but i dont want another project eatting away at my life.

You can't beat the $400-500 price for a fully painted & LICENSED Boba helmet... and from what I have heard - cast from an original pre-production helmet.

Fan helmets are usually $250+... and then you need paint, great skills and lots of time and patience. The MR looks good - still looks painted rather than scratched, but imo worth the money.

From Amy....

Quote:
The Boba Helmet goes up for sale next week! It will not be shipping until late in the year, early next year I would imagine.

Quote:
OK, here is what the CURRENT facts are. Of course, they are always subject to change:

Boba Fett Helmet SE: Edition Size 750 Price $549

Boba Fett Helmet LE: Edition Size 1500 Price 449

Please know the price increase is due to the functioning electronics

Well on that note I have to go. I will talk to you all soon!

Amy

Sweet, if it stays at $449, I'm definitely going for it.
And I don't mind if it takes till early next year to start shipping. Gives plenty of time to save up some cash!
