This is an amazing collection Jkno. But out of all the trooper helmets I have to say that the snow trooper commander helmet is my favorite. Its menacing, its sleek and clean look makes it timeless compared to any other imperial storm trooper in my opinion.

Always if you show something new i think, ok now he has no more space for more new stuff.
But few weeks later...you have something new to show. :lol

Space is an issue for most collectors including myself. Wish I was a millionaire with a hangar type space for display :lol But I made some changes to the collection, and sold some old anime and Sideshow figures, thus freeing some space. I'll most likely sell my TE2 Stormie helmet, and also the MonCal Snowtrooper as soon as RS Snow arrives. I also wish I could keep everything, but... you guessed, not enough space :toothy

Thanks. :cheers It is a great helmet indeed, quite different from the others, including Snowtrooepr grunts. And it appeared only a few seconds on screen, still remains so iconic

Industrial Light & Magic - The Art of Special Effects book finally arrived, it took some time, but well worth the wait:

EFX Scout helmet arrived. Like I said before I wasn't expecting too much difference from what I've seen from collector's pics already.
The helmet is quite heavy, shiny and looks solid, coming with a nice COA, but is not as accurate as it could have been. The jaw flair and the big visor gap are the most prominent issues with this replica. My visor closes quite ok looking from sides, but looking from top it the gap is wider on one side than the other.

The visor itself has some accuracy problems as well. The snout is not that sharp, but was expecting to be softer so it is ok. The stand looks cheap, but seems reasonably steady and solid, still is definitely inferior to other EFX stands. Price is quite high for what you get in the end, expecially for international collectors who weren't bribed by EFX with a free Vader helmet.

The overall appearance is ok, less accurate than RS Prop Masters and maybe even LoneWolf, and looks better than Altmanns, the other licensed high end Scout helmet. An ok replica, but inferior to previous EFX LE helmet replicas. It is not the worst Scout helmet out there, but definitely not the best.

The EFX helmet is not the worst Scout helmet out there. There are angles where it looks quite good. But overall it has some issues, to be expected on a PCR or Black Series helmet, but not on a LE.

Minor change to the collection display, I finally got the time to add Death Star wall stickers to this cabinet:

Nice to see the helmet arrived you finaly. :thumbsup
Do yours also have this "flat spot's" on your helmet domesides?

2-vt5198.html?start=15

I meanwhile removed the ugly regular chinstraps, added some other weathering and a liner from 1976 with chinstrap simmilar (the same brand) to the one from the exhibit helmet.
So the "chicago screw" on top also has his function now.
