Here's that other photo I promised showing the front flaring channel on the DJ helmet. It's a feature I didn't really appreciate until I examined the SL ANH and went back to my screen helmet reference photos...still not the best photo but I can tell it's there...

Credit and thanks to DJ for this photo of his helmet.

So anything claimed to be directly cast off the screen ANH helmet should have at least this feature...among many others....

please pardon my ignorance,... but are you referring to the tubing along the side of the face mask?

and what are the other features that prove that the helmet is cast directly off the screen helmet? i'd like to verify these on my helmets.

He is refering to the edge on the dome part I believe.

The flange has an outer edge and an inner edge, but in between there is a bend in the surface forming a "line"... I think that is the one SL is talking about - that it is not just a flat surface.

The channel or groove becomes an edge toward the bottom of the flaring...here's the comparison again with the other DJ photo...
