We all know the round piece that is attached to the top of the ESB mask, which kinda looks like a pipe connector or holder (sorry, don't know what it is called in English)... but what I was thinking was whether it was a found object and what the dimensions were.

Thought it'd be interesting to hear what is known about this piece.

The one I saw looked like a found part. The inside ring was plastic but I've heard of them being metal on a hero helmet..... not sure about that though.

Exactly 4" across the smaller part.

Well here are two shots of an esb helmet. Although the first pic appears on Jez's site, I didn't get it from there and I've had the other for a while now. The bottom may be an ROTJ dome possibly. They do appear to be different.

Anyone know what it's called? It's probably a hardware/plumbing part of some kind!?

At one point, I had planned to share this but another "non-sharing situation" has given me a change of heart.

Well... if he can't share, then he can't share... so let's move on people.

It definitely looks like it has something to do with pipes of some kind. Perhaps a pipe holder (don't know the correct English term).

Maybe JB or Vadermonkey can tell us what it is!?

To me, and this is IMO, it's always looked like a PVC collar or part of a coupler.

Why not ask the mods to put this thread in the Privileged Section if you
"fear" sensitive information could get out to people you don't want to know.

Each time I read such a comment I'm starting to get really p$$$ed - why are you joining the discussion, Gino? You make a statement, and then you don't back it up. That doesn't help anyone.

Sorry NHM, it's just that I can't stand this type of comment anymore.

I know where the original screen-used ANH vader costume is - it's part of my collection, but I won't share any pics....
