Recasts = Bad news.

Don't do it. Don't buy it. Don't go there.

How can anyone sell an unlicensed piece on Amazon?

But honestly, I agree, don't buy it. The casting looks very poor quality, soft and warped. You'd likely spend as much on fixing it as you'd pay to buy an original MR helmet and you'd still be left with something of lesser quality than the MR.

It looks warped.

Also, isn't that Star Fortress Productions' style of photography?

Unless MR sold their molds and copyright I'm going to go with no. ...Because theoretically it may be illegal to reproduce copyrighted material from an original manufacturer (MR).

If you want an MR helmet, keep checking these places...

The RPF Facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/groups/therpf/

The RPF Junkyard (I've seen a few MR ROTS helmets up for sale in the past year)
http://www.therpf.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13

Star Wars Cargo Hold (Just had an MR ROTS for sale)
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1160258740656134/

The Prop Den also has a Black Market
the-black-market-vf28.html

Ebay - I've seen them on Ebay as well.

Do it the right way - but you have to be diligent and check these places often, as the MR ROTS helmets sell fast because they're rare.

Cheers,

c

Rolls Royce colors. The black is said to most likely have been Mason's Black, but I don't know if the correct grey color has been found.

From that angle and regarding the used tusk's, it could be a helmet made by "Animefan"
Would be clear to tell, if you have pic's from the mask without the dome and from the backside of the mask.

As Animefan bought the moulds from Fettpride a few years back, it's basicly a recast of a MR helmet.
Those moulds were made from a "vanilla" production cast MR-helmet.

If that's a helmet made by Portumac, than it's just another recasted MR helmet to me.
The very soft center stripe of the the dome, looks very similar to the MR one.
Nothing new from this guy, as he just recasts everything what he can get in his hands.

You can find Animefan over the RPF.

Edit:

Yep....it is a MR recast...

...and the reveal parts are all wrong...lol. :fight
