Well, many, if not all, of the nicks and dents on the ANH was carried over into the ESB (even fainter and mostly disappeared in the RotJ), but I have seen pictures, even close-ups, where those nicks doesn't appear to be there, for some reason or another - either caused by flash, lighting or possibly camera... or because they simply weren't as "sharp" on that particular mask... who knows. Camera's definitely are weird sometimes.

Yes, I'm definitely not disagreeing with you... just saying that it is sometimes difficult to determine from pictures whether those details are there. Nothing more.

actually the ROTJ stunt and reveal do not have the indent...they were cleaned up..

I can usually tell by pics if it has this indent even by not so good pics...

That's such a sharp capture, good work. You got any ESB's in your collection?

That capture is from the recent flood of hi-def captures on linked on RPF and also re-posted here.

There unfortunately weren't many ESB captures of Vader in that batch that guy did, sorry.

Hopefully Phil can show some hi-def captures in the future, now that he has gotten hold of hi-def versions.

Was this in question? It was clear on the Paul Allen ESB stunt helmet...even the Dagobah helmet has it...the hero helmet onscreen was harder to see but it's there even in lower res screencaps...

Of course, having higher resolution images of the PA helmet always helps if you are trying to reconstruct an accurate notch  .

I dont know what your problem is SL but you really come across as an @ss sometimes.....You and your innuendos can go take a hike..I have a helmet with an accurate nose..and with all the dents etc...You obviously can't tell one helmet from the next .... :lol :lol :lol

Maybe you should add it to your green castings :lol :lol :lol :lol
