very interesting! i don't know if it's just me, but i never realize how asymmetrical the originals are until i see them side by side with something like that. excellent job!

Yeah... it's pretty extreme looking when looking at the reversed image. Though if MR uses this technique to make their Vader... then it will definitely have my vote... though, would of course love it more if it was either an ANH or an ESB reveal! :thumbsup

Hmmm, that symmetrical one looks a lot better than the ROTS IMO. :thumbsup

Interesting for sure. ROTS couldn't be further from perfect IMO. The symmetricalness plays a part in it's downfall. I think it would be an unwise decision for LFL to continue along these lines in what they offer us with MR symmetrical products if rumour is true.

Try it with the other side of the face which I think sags less...just out of curiousity...great blending of the two halves.

No, you are getting it wrong... not two halves... but both halves. :thumbsup

I am not taking just one side and mirroring it... I am taking the regular picture and the reversed picture and paste them onto each other, and changing the opacity to 50%, so what you are seeing is neither the regular, nor the reversed, but a complete average of the two pictures, meaning the whole helmet onto itself.

Indeed... and not a "mirrored composite" study.

The picture is not the best, as he is half-smiling... would have been better with a more straight mouth... but I think you get what I'm trying to show.

The one in the middle is what LFL did with the RotS Vader.
