Any updates on the MR ESB BF?

Haven't seen any (new) pics for a long time...

It's probably going to come out next year around summer. Sadly, because of all their recent problems, they had to delay it along with stormtrooper helmet.

I love this thing....
So excited for it.

Yeah, it looks just awesome.

Seems like a terrible paint job to do in mass production.

I am interested to see if they can consistently duplicate the Hero paintjob Lee did on that. From having painted 5 Fett helmets thus far I can say that its no easy task and although they have great machines that can paint complex things in mass production quality control is always an issue. The original helmet has about 12 different colors that can be traced to "out of the bottle" colors not to mention custom mixes. If they do it right, it will be a trophy piece!

New pic from Toy Fair...

According to thejawa.com, the helmet will be $650. I was hoping something more like $400-$450 for a mass produced helmet, but oh well......

It's certainly gorgeous, to my untrained eye, but $650?! It'll be a cold day in hell before I can spend that kind of money.

Sadly... I think the weathering looks forced and "painted" rather than a natural weathering and banged up look. Maybe my standards are just too high... but for that price I would have expected more than that.

Yeah, like someone on TDH said, it looks a bit too cartony. It still does look great, but nothing that justifies a $650 pricepoint.

I agree 100% and your standards are not too high!

I'm sad to say, but it still stands:

Screen accurate licensed Boba Fett: zero
Screen accurate licensed Stormtrooper: zero

Boba's paint scheme is just too difficult to mass produce.

Perhaps they are going to label him as you "Urban Camo" Boba Fett available at most of your fine inner city army navy surplus stores. :rolleyes

And at $650 they must be nuts. I'll buy 4 from Sarge paint them myself and have nearly every version of Boba for that price. :lol
