Those are great reference pictures! Where did you find such high quality shots?

I honestly have no recollection (which is a problem of old age), as I've acquired various images through surfing over the last year.

If they can help Den members, then we will all benefit in the long run!

Thanks guys. I realize that these are "hoarding-quality" to some people. :toothy

The best thing to do, really, is share.

BTW, that last image shows scratches or cracked paint, and it looks really thin. If I interpret the photo right, the paint has peeled and reveals the base coat which is more matte.

The second photo I posted is even more interesting. That's the costume that Kermit Eller wore. Notice that the surface seems a bit sunken into the framework of the box. It could have been a combination of a trick of the light and how the corners were sanded, but the ever-so-slightly sunken inward look is something I had never noticed before, and it may cause some people who previously boasted being "the most accurate ever" to rethink their ANH boxes!

Wow! It does look like the face of the chest box is recessed!

Thanks Mac for posting these great detailed photos!

Well, this picture is, as far as I can see, from the ESB Poster shoot and has been said by many, iirc, to possibly not be the screen-used stuff or that it was repainted.

Interesting... as if the inner section is not completely connected to the frame, as it also looks like the bottom sticks our beyond the squared frame. Pretty weird looking. :eek

Thanks for sharing Mac great images :)

I am currently making my belt boxes. I have the correct red lamps, the correct green lamps and the correct mesh.

I am currently using replicas of the metal posts with the red bases but would love to upgrade to the real thing. I thought they were a well documented found part but asked over at the RPF and nobody seemed to know.

Anybody here know what they are?

Cheers Chris.
