How many seams and sections are there in the outer cape? I am ready to make my cape. I have seen 2 section capes,4 section,6 section and also a 9 section cape.

Also your thoughts on the wire colors on the ESB saber. I know about the red and white, but is the other wire brown or black. I have heard conflicting stories about the last wire. The parts of Star Wars site it looks like it is brown. Thanks for any help. Scott

I believe 6 sections is accurate, but I could be mistaken.

So here comes to unavoidable question - WHO makes the best and most
accurate ANH Vader Cape and Robe (Materials, weight, look, patterns ...)

JRX,

But he's asking about the ESB Vader.

As for makers, I'd have to say KevVader or Maia. Any thoughts?

Here are some cape links.

Maia:

http://www.sithtrainingtemple.net/phpBB ... php?t=1183

Kev's threads must have fallen off the sale forums that had the pictures. I'm sure someone here has pictures or his capes.

That's one I made last year for a fellow in Seattle. I only make a few cloaks each year since I have very little time for costuming any longer (work, 3 year old, consulting contracts keep me busy...). Sewing is usually my way to relax. I hand finish hems and the strip around the bottom on ESB cloaks so they take ~40 hours to complete.
